Sky Kim: Allure of the Abyss
Chase Contemporary is pleased to announce an upcoming solo exhibition with New York-based artist Sky Kim. Known for her intricately rendered watercolor paintings, Kim’s new show Allure of the Abyss celebrates bioluminescence in the deep sea, the delicacy and gracefulness of jellyfish and other deep sea creatures, and explores the tales of underwater and lost civilizations. The exhibition will be on view from November 2nd through the 23rd at 415 West Broadway.

Logan Sylve: Spider Talk
Chase Contemporary is pleased to announce Spider Talk, a solo exhibition of new paintings by New York-based artist Logan Sylve. Sylve’s work explores the push and pull between what we as people present to the outside world versus the complexity of our internal realities. The exhibition will open on Thursday, October 5th at 415 West Broadway in SoHo. An opening reception with the artist will be held from 6-8pm.

Chase Contemporary is pleased to announce an upcoming solo exhibition with Angolan artist Cristiano Mangovo. The paintings in this exhibition, created during his residency with Chase Contemporary, explore the body as an instrument for creation and destruction, and a file (or archive) of lived experiences. Body: Instrument and File marks Mangovo’s first exhibition in New York and will open on June 15th, at 413 West Broadway, with an opening reception from 6-8pm.
Chase Contemporary is very proud to announce an upcoming solo exhibition for renowned Danish artist Ole Aakjaer. The exhibition marks the culmination of Aakjaer’s 6-month residency in New York City. The exhibition will be on view April 27th through June 1st, with an opening reception on Thursday, April 27th, from 6-8pm.
Chase Contemporary gallery is pleased to present its first solo show with abstract painter and seafarer Reid Stowe. Stowe, a native of coastal North Carolina, is both a navigator, polar explorer, yogi, father, and creator of works of art that encapsulate the 71 year journey of his fascinating life. The paintings, with their spiritual and primitive influences, are heavily textured and organic in appearance. The exhibition, featuring mostly medium and large scale works, marks Stowe’s first solo New York exhibition and will open on March 23rd from 6-8pm at 413 West Broadway.

The immersive exhibition will feature 30 new canvas works of various sizes in Ortiz’s vibrant and playful geometric style, evoking the atmosphere of early 1980s New York. Chase Contemporary is pleased to announce a solo show of watercolor paintings by globally renowned Danish artist Ole Aakjær at its East Hampton, New York, location. Miss Multitude, featuring a selection of twelve large-scale, complex figurative paintings, will be on view from July 30 through August 13, 2022, at Chase Contemporary’s East Hampton gallery. Chase Contemporary is pleased to announce a solo exhibition spanning four decades of far-reaching works by multi-disciplinary artist and pioneering graffiti writer RISK. RISK: Electric Color will showcase monumental metal sculptures, large-scale works on canvas and paper, and neon electric fine art, among an array of vintage and new work that promotes sustainability through the use of recycled and found materials. The exhibition will feature three days of live painting events open to the public, as well as artifacts from the legendary Risk Rock Studios Compound where he collaborates with an array of rockstars, actors, and other renowned visual artists.

Chase Contemporary is pleased to announce a retrospective exhibition for Canadian artist Richard Hambleton featuring works created between 1976 and 2017. Richard Hambleton: Beyond the Shadowman will showcase Hambleton’s contribution to the history of contemporary public and conceptual art. Through a presentation of the artist’s shadow paintings, seascapes, and a series of never-before-seen photographs taken by the artist between 1976 and 1979, the exhibition will provide a unique insight into the artist’s creative, conceptual life.
Chase Contemporary is pleased to announce its first solo show of paintings by globally renowned artist Sky Kim. Kim’s works explore themes ranging from sacred geometry to reincarnation. Incorporating circles and sacred spirals in her work, Sky draws on physics as an inspiration, “as a means of trying to figure out what we are made of and who we are. I believe in oneness.” Microscopic Obsession will feature a selection of large and small-scale works on paper, and will be on view from April 7 through May 1 at Chase Contemporary’s SoHo gallery.
