Sky Kim: Allure of the Abyss

Reid Stowe | Oceanic Feeling

Chase Contemporary gallery is pleased to present its first solo show with abstract painter and seafarer Reid Stowe. Stowe, a native of coastal North Carolina, is both a navigator, polar explorer, yogi, father, and creator of works of art that encapsulate the 71 year journey of his fascinating life. The paintings, with their spiritual and primitive influences, are heavily textured and organic in appearance. RISK | Electric Color

Chase Contemporary is pleased to announce a solo exhibition spanning four decades of far-reaching works by multi-disciplinary artist and pioneering graffiti writer RISK. RISK: Electric Color will showcase monumental metal sculptures, large-scale works on canvas and paper, and neon electric fine art, among an array of vintage and new work that promotes sustainability through the use of recycled and found materials. Sky Kim | Microscopic Obsession

Chase Contemporary is pleased to announce its first solo show of paintings by globally renowned artist Sky Kim. Kim’s works explore themes ranging from sacred geometry to reincarnation. Incorporating circles and sacred spirals in her work, Sky draws on physics as an inspiration, “as a means of trying to figure out what we are made of and who we are. Chase Contemporary is pleased to announce its first solo exhibition in its new East Hampton location, which will open over July 4th weekend. A selection of medium and large-scale canvas works by acclaimed Expressionist urban painter Richard Hambleton will be on display at 66 Newtown Lane in East Hampton, from July 1 through July 18, 2021. This installation of “Shadowmen” at Chase Contemporary will mark the first time a Hambleton show of this size has been presented on the East End. RETNA | Hallelujah Paintings

We are currently exhibiting a selection of important Retna paintings at our New York location. Several monumental paintings will be on view, which have not been exhibited since Retna's "Hallelujah World Tour" exhibition in 2011. These extraordinary works mark one of the most important periods in Retna's career. The same year that Retna was creating some of his most imposing paintings for the "Hallelujah World Tour," he was participating in the Art in the Streets exhibition at MOCA (the first major U.S. museum survey of graffiti and street art which traced its development from the 1970s to the global movement it has become today), Street Cred at the Pasadena Museum of California Art, and painting the tail of a business jet in Geneva for VistaJet.
